Matt and Kim Lightspeed Acoustic Cover
I was 2 years old at the time. I had no idea a thing like this ever even occured
Loved these videos man. I'm in the uk. Same age as yourself. I don't really remember it at the time but over the years i like watching and hearing all the stories. It was an incredible time to be alive. 💪🏻 I miss those days. Id take those times over these with kids today identifying as dogs!
Listened to the whole series. Loved the story. Crazy event I was 8 when this went down man I wish I could went
I'd just turned 21 when I went to Woodstock and ate easily over 2 pounds of pyliociaban mushrooms
Ha i come back to this periodically and always find little things that missed before like the FAN 😂. Still got that fan goin alo the time. I remember the little fan you had with the blue blades that made all the noise and your like NO I LIKE THAT NOISE 😂.
what time did brain hit the stage at?
27:08 fucking badass, I always wished I could time machine back and go.
It's amazing you were part of such a crazyyyy just... shit show or epic proportions. I don't mean that as an insulting way at all, because I can only imagine the extreme insanity of it all. Oh yeah, and I'm glad you didn't have to pay $4 dollars for that bottle of water you're drinking.
Dude great review and I'm happy you're setting it right about the Limp Bizkit set.
It still boggles my mind to this day they still get blamed for Sunday night's riot lol but they definitely cemented themselves in music history about Woodstock 99.
I was there was 19 at the time. Unreal experience. My memory could be off but I remember the bottled water being $4. Could a Woodstock 2029 happen?! You never know.
Love the story - thanks man!
Man you were literally apart of music history! I'm loving theses vids and wished I could've been there to experience an insane music lineup! Rock on brother 🤘🏼
Kid Rock's performance was probably my favorite; especially the intro <3
Wow! Just watched all 3 of the videos! Bet it was a truly incredible experience! Wish I could have gone! Who was your favourite band you saw at Woodstock 99? And did you get a chance to look inside one of the Rave Hangers?
Thank you for sharing!! I’ve been watching every documentary on Woodstock ‘99 that I can get my hands on. Just absolutely fascinating watching how people act when they’re left to their own devices. It’s like the Pleasure Island scene in Pinocchio: they all turned into jackasses.
Holy Shit ! What a memory ! So awesome you got your glasses back ! I cant imagine losing mine, cant see shit without them ! LOL !!!
I walked through the shit and piss and WHAT else who the fuck knows
I think that it's easier to blame limp bizkit than to take the responsibility that the promoters had. I mean, I've been in a limp bizkit concert, and almost everyone experienced their mosh pits, including myself, and it was awesome. It was at a festival as well, and there were no riots. Inclusive, Fred went to the sound tower i was next to him. It was awesome
At Inkcarceration?? I was there too he did that
Soooo jealous!
I’m glad you got your glasses back. Your dad was such a good sport for going with you guys.
You’re so lucky you got to go. I was like 12 😒. I feel bad for the people who got hurt. But it looked like an amazing 🎉 concert.
Lucky you didn't have to stay in that cesspool.
I was also at Woodstock 99 and I have made some videos to share my experiences as well. I’m surprised that there aren’t more videos from attendees. ✌️
Hi
Hello ✌️
No one cares. Did you roll in the poop to.
The candles were intended for a vigil regarding gun violence (a few months after the Columbine shooting).
I hope those guys were actually covered in body paint.
It wasn't cool for people to yell that stuff at Sheryl Crow.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I was born in 2001 but grew up on metal music, and my friend would always talk about Woodstock. I’m glad you had a great time and you were safe as well
I’ve been binge watching peoples personal experience videos and this is my favorite by far, thank you so much for sharing!! The good and the bad
It’s weird that people symbolized beating up other people in the form of dummies lol like what.
Thanks for sharing your story! You take great photos man!!
everyone’s personal experiences are so cool to listen to, I think it’s so awesome that everyone helped you guys and you were able to find your glasses too
Sounds like a pretty good time. 19:33 It’s a shame about your assholes getting knocked out from the crowd surfers though
Oleander is like a saltine cracker with no salt. Or cracker.
Mosh pits are now illegal.
I wonder where all those ladies are now?
Woodstock 99 was not a failure. The riots happened after the last band left.
At least the bands actually played, unlike Fyre Festival! 🤣🤣🤣
I’m a gen Xr so older than you. I had been to 94’ and drove 24 hrs straight from Miami with friends to go see our favorite bands like Metallica, Peppers, Rage and so on. Up until the fires, we we’re having an unforgettable weekend. It sucks that bad things were happening under our noses. Having said that, I had seen signs of trouble brewing. Sunday morning bunch of the younger guys were tearing down the wall and breaking the plywood into pieces to keep as souvenirs. I actually grabbed a piece and threw it away a couple of years ago. We fell asleep inside the rental van to the sounds of total mayhem. When the gates were opened at daybreak, we woke up and drove around the perimeter and couldn’t believe the destruction left behind. It’s complicated what happened and hard to justify but I had a blast, personally.
I want to hear what it was like for the women too. Seemed like a very dangerous environment.
bad things happened unfortunately
I don’t buy the promoters claiming the Hendrix cover was to rile the crowd up, they played it way to tight for it to be a last minute thing.
They’d been playing that song for years before woodstock, prob 10 years, it was on mothers milk I think, but yeah they would’ve def played it that night for sure 😉🇦🇺🍻
I think it was ironic that they played that song but I believe it when they said they meant no ill will
which band had the bigger pop, limp bizkit, kid rock, or korn
Limp but KoЯn "Blind" perfomance was the face of Woodstock 99
@@frankfurt2812 were you there?
thanks for the pictures! that was amazing!
After watching the two documentaries I could not imagine staying there overnight
Are You Ready!!!!!
It was during the “intermission” I think that Dexter from The Offspring did the Back Street Boys thing haha. They ended on Self Esteem. I wish the NetFlix doc would have shown how Dexter also addressed the grabbing of women. Ending with “They should be able to crowd surf and have a good time and If a guy goes over your head I want you to grab his f**kin balls!”
It's in the HBO doc.
Godsmack and Megadeth sound fun. Sucks that Aerosmith pulled out that would have been one of the best of this lineup. Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Offspring, Ice Cube all would have been great to see.
And Korn obviously!
I remember finding a buddy at Ozzfest in the Gorge we were separated earlier in the day and it was like a needle in a haystack finding him as well, before cell phones were everywhere. Right at the end in the parking lot cool lets get the F outta here. Couldn't imagine how bad traffic would be at this Woodstock show.
After watching the Netflix doc. Jealous you attended, but glad you got out there to tell the tale 😂
Really enjoying these vids, thanks
Who was your favorite performance that weekend?
Limp Bizkit - best set and most powerful set. KoЯn "Blind" - was the most unforgettable performance and the first to come out into people's mind when they hear WOODSTOCK 99
@@frankfurt2812my parents were 17 and 18 when they went. My godfather went with them and got his jaw broken from a bottle of jack Daniels in the middle of kid rock’s performance😂
